First Gourmet Academy was invited to cook for the newly-elected President Aquino and his family last August. This was the first and only time so far that this has happened. First Gourmet Academy was recommended by a close friend of the President and did a very good job in providing the presidential family with a great lunch. Hopefully, this would soon happen again.

First Gourmet Academy is starting to make a big name among the culinary schools in Manila. Proving this was the day when we easily won the Flavors Magazine Culinary Challenge 2010. And this with students that had only been to school in just 6 weeks compared to the other schools competitors that joined with much more experienced students.
A few weeks later, the First Gourmet Academy students also won the Grand Championship and 1st runner up honors in the “You Cook: The Moulinex Video Recipe Challenge” against other culinary school’s instructors.

The main reason why First Gourmet Academy was started almost 3 years ago was to make sure that our students are ready to take up employment here in The Philippines as well as abroad. We are proud to announce that we are the culinary school in Manila with most employed students directly after their education. In these two links, you can read about 2 of our students that are successful abroad.
