I love you Mama and Papa, Thank you for everything and becoming the best parents around the world. I learned to walk, speak and cook because you’re the best teacher.
For this time onward I will take care of you.

I love to cook, especially cooking for my family. Nilagang Baka ala Resly is our favorite dish because I learned it from my Mama. Which she learned from her Mother, I’m the only one that learned to cook and will passed the Secret techniques of cooking for next generation. With Monterey and special ingredient aka “love” my Nilagang Baka will be the best dish.

  1. How to Join
    • Participants must go to the website of Yahoo Purple Hunt:http://www.yahoopurplehunt2.com.ph and register to start the hunt.
    • Only persons who are above 18 years of age and a resident of the Philippines can join in the yahoo purple hunt campaign
    • A person can only join once as he/she can open a sponsors box for only one time.
    • Participant needs to open all boxes to qualify to the Grand Raffle. Seven keywords are needed to open all boxes.
    • Participant must follow the instructions specified in each box to open all the boxes.
    • Promo period is from March 11 to April 17, 2011.
    • Last day of submission of entries for Metro Manila participants is on April 16, 2011, 11:59pm. While for Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao deadline is on April 12, 2011 at 11:59pm.
  2. How to register
    • Register for the Yahoo! Purple Hunt 2.0 athttp://www.yahoopurplehunt2.com.ph, and fill out all the required information. If you don't have a Yahoo! account, register for one first atyahoo.com.ph.

    • Upon successful registration participant can now navigate thru the Yahoo! Purple Hunt page: http://www.yahoopurplehunt2.com.ph
    • Registration ID or code will be assigned by the system per participant upon successful registration which will serve as their raffle number.
    • System will track activities of each code/registrant.
    • Participants will be given 75% chance of winning, system is programmed to automatically declare a participant a winner depending on the number of prizes still available and if a certain task per box is completed.
    • Participants need to open all boxes for chance to participate in the Grand Raffle.
    • Participant first goal is to open Box # 1 before he can open the rest of the boxes.

  3. How to play
    • Box #1. Add the Box!
      • Install Yahoo! Messenger. Participant can skip this step if he already have Yahoo! Messenger installed.
      • Add the PurpleHuntMaster to your friend list. You can add it by typingypurplemaster in the add tab of Yahoo Messenger.
      • PurpleHuntMaster is a system generated program that will automatically add you upon request.
      • Wait for more instructions. The PurpleHuntMaster will give you instruction on how to open the box or what to do next.
      • In case you missed his directions, you need to type in "help" keyword to get the URL which will contain your unique keyword.
      • Once the participant gets the keyword he needs to go tohttp://www.yahoopurplehunt2.com.ph and input it in the Yahoo Messenger Purple Box. The box will open and you will have a chance to win exciting prizes.
      • The system upon verifying that certain task is completed and upon checking the availability or quantity of prizes in the database automatically notifies the user thru a pop-up message in the Yahoo Messenger box if he wins a prize or not.
      • After opening box 1, user can now proceed with the rest of the boxes. He can start with any box he wants, but he needs to open all to qualify to the Grand Raffle for a chance to win Purple Hyundai i10 car.
    • Box #2. Magic Minute (Magic 89.9)
      • Participant goes thru the mechanics section of Magic 89.9 box and sees the instruction that he needs to tune in to Magic 89.9 radio station and wait for the DJ to play the Yahoo Yodel to get the special keyword that will open the box.
      • Once the participant gets the keyword he needs to go back to the microsite and type in the keyword in the Magic 89.9 box. The box opens and participant gets a chance to win exciting prizes.
      • The system upon verifying that a certain task is completed and upon checking the availability or quantity of prizes in the database automatically notifies the user thru a pop-up message in the Magic 89.9 box if he wins a prize or not.
      • Participant may only win once, if he was able to get a prize from the 1st box he will no longer win in the other boxes.
      • Participant now proceeds with the rest of the boxes, for a chance to win in the Grand Raffle.
    • Box #3. Purple Goods (Hyundai)
      • Participant goes to the Hyundai box and sees the instruction that he needs to take a photo of himself with any Hyundai Car
        1. Make sure that the car can be easily identified as a Hyundai brand
        2. Plate number must be blurred or deleted for security and privacy purposes
      • The photo needs to be uploaded in the YahooPurpleHunt2.0 official Flickr page, participant now goes to www.flickr.com and look for the YahooPurpleHunt2.0 official Flickr group.
      • Participant uploads the photo in the group and tags it with "YahooPurpleHunt2"
        1. Maximum file size limit of the photo is 800x600 pixels
      • Next step upon uploading of photo is to look for the Purple Hyundai car in the Yahoo Purple Hunt Flickr gallery where the keyword is placed. Once participant is part of the group, he will gain access to tons of photos of other Hyundai models. You'll now have to search for the official Purple Hyundai i10 photo, which has the keyword.
      • The keyword needs to be entered in the Hyundai box at Yahoo Purple Hunt microsite. If keyword is valid the box will open which increases the Participants chances of participating in the Grand Raffle.

      IF PURPLE HUNTER WANTS TO WIN OTHER HYUNDAI PREMIUM ITEMS, FURTHER INSTRUCTIONS ARE SEEN BELOW:

      • Make sure that the car can be easily identified as a Hyundai brand
      • Plate number must be blurred or deleted for security and privacy purposes

    • Box #5. Smart
      • Participant goes to the SMART Bro box and sees the mechanics that he needs to go to the SMART Bro website: www.smart.com.ph/broand look for the for the not-so-hidden banner ad of Yahoo Purple Hunt which redirects him to www.smart.com.ph/bro/purple to get the keyword that will open the box.
      • Participant lands in the SMART Bro website, if he is a NON-SMART BRO POSTPAID subscriber he will be asked to fill up the online form:Full Name, Email Address, Mobile Number and click on submit.
      • When user clicks Submit, the code will be revealed
      • User needs to go back to the Yahoo Purple Hunt website to enter this code
      • For SMART BRO POSTPAID Subscribers:
      • Participant needs to go to www.smart.com.ph/connect and update his information. He needs to click on the link to update then submit the online form containing the ff fields:Full Name, Email Address, Mobile Number and click on submit.
      • When user clicks Submit, the code will be revealed.

      • For NOKIA and OVI Users:
      • Representative will ask him to download an application from OVI! thru his cellphone. The representative will confirm if the download is complete, once confirmed the representative will give the keyword that will open the NOKIA box.
      • For NON-NOKIA and NON-OVI Users:
      • The participant needs to request for information on the Nokia X2-01 and the rep will give the participant the keyword.
      • Participant now goes back to thehttp://www.yahoopurplehunt2.com.ph site and enters the keyword in the NOKIA box.
      • The system upon verifying that a certain task is completed and upon checking the availability or quantity of prizes in the database will automatically notify the user thru a pop-up message in the NOKIA box that he was able to open if he wins a prize or not.
    • Box #7 Yahoo! Search
      • Participant goes to the last box the Yahoo! Search box and sees the mechanics that he needs to search for the video online thru the Yahoo Search. A simple Yahoo! search will help the participant find the video. The video will reveal the final keyword and the venue of the Grand Event.
      • Participant upon finding the video and the keyword goes back to thehttp://www.yahoopurplehunt2.com.ph site and enters the keyword.
      • Opening of the last box if he was able to open the rest of the boxes will be his ticket for chance to participate in the Grand Raffle.

          • Line up at the Yahoo! Messenger booth and log on to your YM account. If you have no YM account yet, you will be required to create one. In your list of contacts, you will be required to add to contact the Yahoo! Purple Friend.
          • Once contact is added, qualifier will be asked to chat and ask for the password.
          • Once password is given, qualifier will show the password to the official booth marshall. After marshall has approved the password, a stamp will be given on your passport
          • Contestant now moves on to next Yahoo! Booth
        • Yahoo! Mail
          • Line up at the booth and log on to your Yahoo! Mail account. If you have none yet, you will be required to create one. You will be asked to email a certain email address (example purplehunt@yahoo.com ) with subject title Purple Hunt Yahoo! Mail Password. In the message, qualifier will kindly request for the password and will send email.
          • Await the email reply and show password to marshall for approval. Then your passport gets a stamp from that booth
        • Yahoo! OMG!
          • Line up at the booth and the OMG! Page will be ready for the qualifier. The marshall will give qualifier a task to search for.
            • Ex: Please search for a celebrity that is wearing a purple dress.
          • Once task is found online, marshall will check to validate and approve. The passport will then get a stamp from that booth
        • Yahoo! Koprol
          • Line up at the booth and the Koprol page will be ready for the qualifier. The marshall will explain what Koprol is all about
          • Qualifier will then have to create their won Koprol account and send out their first location-based shout out that they are currently at they Yahoo! Purple Hunt event in Trinoma mall.
          • Qualifier is to show status to marshall for approval. Passport then gets stamped
        • Check-Ins
          • Grand prize qualifiers will have to "check-in" at the check-in counter upon presenting their Purple Passports and seeing that all 4 Yahoo! Booths have given their stamps
          • The database of qualifiers will be at the check-in system to be able to validate that aside from completing on-ground hunt they also completed the online hunt or opening of all the boxes. Qualifiers must present their Yahoo! ID as well as the completed purple passport upon check-in.
          • Only qualified hunt finishers (online and on-ground) who check-in at the event will be eligible for the finalist draw
          • At a specified time (6pm), an electronic raffle will be conducted to determine the remaining 17 finalists from GMA
          • The 17 finalists from GMA will be drawn ahead (5pm) of their 6pm announcement to the public. The electronic raffle will be conducted backstage in the presence of a Yahoo! representative and DTI representative to verify validity of raffle. The electronic randomizer will bring up 20 names from the total check-in database. 17 for the winners and extra 3 names as buffers (ie. Initial names are not present at event any longer, etc). The DTI representative will then validate all names against the check-in database and give their approval of the 17 GMA finalists.
          • Once the 17 GMA finalists are determined, their names will be shown on a large overhead LED screen onstage
      5. GRAND PRIZE WINNER
        • All 20 finalists (GMA, LUZON and VIZMIN) will be called onstage
        • A grid will be on the floor divided into 20 numbered quadrants
        • The finalists will then be asked to choose a number on the floor grid and stand on it
        • When all finalists have made their choice, they asked to look at the large LED screen behind them
        • The screen mirrors the grid they are standing on but has box visuals instead of numbers
        • The host explains that the 20 finalists will be reduced to 15, 10, then to 5, then to 2 finalists.
        • Host also announces the prizes for the 15 who will be eliminated, as the large LED screen "unboxes the x's", anyone whose box contains an "X" is eliminated
        • We will have pre-determine which boxes have "X"s . Therefore, we will have 3 versions of the grid for the video play. Version 15, 10 and 5.
        • As the groups get smaller, the chart will flash on the screen which numbered quadrants will be valid for the corresponding round. This is to eliminate any possibility of a finalist stepping on a "dead" numbered quadrant.
        • This elimination process is repeated until only 2 finalists remain
        • The host and the 2 finalists leave the main stage and move to the car platform
        • At the satellite stage, host announces that one of the 2 will get the car
        • The runner up will get another valuable prize:
        • Both finalists are given a car key each, only one of which will open the car
        • A coin can be flipped to determine which of the two will be first to choose a key
        • The one that is able to open the door wins the car
  5. Drawing of Winners:
  6. PURPLE ON PARADE!As a way to cap off the Purple Hunt 2.0, we will hold "Purple on Parade!" a grand celebration of all things Yahoo! On April 17, 2011 – 10:00 to 9pm. Yahoo, Hyundai and NetBooster representatives together with the DTI representative will witness the contest and determine the winner: Yahoo Representative – Steven Santos, Marketing Manager Hyundai - Maria Lenavi Ramos, Media and Marketing Operations Manager NetBooster – Apple Galvez, Account Manager
    • The top 3 finalists for the Grand Prize will be drawn on April 13, 2011 10:00am at NetBooster Asia office with the presence of Yahoo, NetBooster and DTI Representatives.
    • The top 17 finalist coming from Metro Manila will be drawn on April 17, same date of the Grand Event - 6:00pm at Trinoma Mall. Only qualified hunt finishers bothonline and on-ground who check-in at the event will be eligible for the finalist draw.
    • The top 2 finalist for the Grand Prize will be chosen thru the contest at the event itself April 17 - 6:00pm
  7. Notification of Winners
    • Netbooster will notify the winner thru e-mail, phone call and registered mail. A print out of the e-mail and/or copy of the notification sent to the winner’s registered mail shall serve as proof of winning.
  8. Redemption
    • Redemption period shall be within 60 days from notification.
    • Unclaimed prizes shall automatically be forfeited after 60 days of receipt of notification upon prior DTI approval.

  9. How to Claim
    • The winner shall present his/her Valid ID, notification email and registered notice. Failure to furnish proof of identity shall be grounds for disqualification.
    • For outside Metro Manila participants: LUZON, VISAYAS & MINDANAO - prizes will be mailed to the participant.
    • GMA - participants need to go to respected redemption areas.
    • Redemption period shall be within 60 days from date of receipt of the registered mail notification.
  10. Prize Forfeiture
    • o The winning prize can be redeemed within 60 days from the date of receipt of the registered mail notification with prior DTI approval. It will be allocated and saved under the winner’s name and information until the time the winner claims the prize.
  11. Disqualification
    • Employees of Yahoo Philippines Inc, NetBooster Asia, Sponsors (Nokia, SMART, FOX, Magic89.9, Hyundai), Suppliers, Dealers and their relatives up to second degree of consanguinity or affinity are disqualified from joining the promotion.
