TROPICAL STORM “GLENDA” HAS INTENSIFIED FURTHER AS IT CONTINUES TO MOVE WESTWARD THREATENING BICOL REGION.Location of eye/center: At 4:00 PM today, Tropical Storm “GLENDA” was estimated based on all available data at 470 km East Southeast of Virac, Catanduanes or 500 km East of Legazpi City, Albay (12.7°N, 128.9°E).
Strength: Maximum sustained winds of 110 kph near the center and gustiness of up to 140 kph.
Movement: Forecast to move West at 30 kph.
Forecast Positions: Tropical Storm“GLENDA” is expected to be in the vicinity of Ligao City, Albay by tomorrow afternoon and at 90 km West Northwest of Iba, Zambales by Wednesday afternoon. By Thursday morning, it is expected to be 500 km West of Laoag City, Ilocos Norte.Visit MDSI for Update
